Diamond Touch Keyboard Driver
OK, for now I have a solution, although I've thought so in the past. Here's what I did assuming you are at the point where the keyboard is showing as an 'Unknown Device'
- In Device Manager, right-mouse click on the 'Other devices/Unknown Device' and click 'Update Driver Software'
- Select 'Browse my computer. . .'
- Select 'Let me pick from a list of devices. . .'
- Make sure 'Show compatible devices' is unchecked and then pick Microsoft -> Surface Touch Cover Filter Device'
- The driver fails to load with 'Code 10', however the device now shows up in Device Manager as a Surface Touch Cover Filter Device, even though it's not working.
- Right-click the Surface Touch Cover Filter Device entry, and select 'Uninstall'
- In the following message box, check the box 'Delete the driver software for this device'
- Swipe left and hit the Settings charm -> Change PC Settings
- Select Update & Recovery
- Click on the Check Now button. This will tell you it is about to install >800MBytes of drivers (it's trying to replace the driver you just deleted)
- After 10 minutes, the keyboard driver should be installed normally.
